A small farm on NH 44, keeping India's cow breeds alive
ML Cow Dairy Farm sits just off the NH 44 at Nadupaiyur, in Paiyur village on the outskirts of Kaveripattinam — one of the older cattle-trading towns of Krishnagiri district. What began as a family herd has grown into a working dairy that breeds and sells nearly every major indigenous cow of India, alongside proven dairy cross-breeds.
How we rear our herd
Every cow at our farm grazes on open land during the day and is stall-fed green fodder, dry fodder and mineral supplements in the evening. We keep our sheds swept and ventilated, and our animals are dewormed and vaccinated on a fixed schedule rather than only when they fall ill.
We calve our cows naturally where possible and keep close records of each animal's lineage, lactation and health — so when you ask us about a particular cow, we can answer with more than a guess.
A cow that is well kept before you buy her will stay well kept after.
Why we breed indigenous cows
Indian zebu breeds like Gir, Sahiwal, Kangayam and Red Sindhi are suited to our heat, our fodder and our farming rhythms in a way imported breeds often aren't. They fall ill less often, tolerate Krishnagiri's dry summers better, and their milk is valued in many households for both nutrition and tradition.
Alongside these, we keep Jersey and HF cross cows for buyers who are looking mainly for higher daily milk volume for commercial dairying.
Open grazing land
Our herd spends its days on pasture around Paiyur village, not confined to a shed.
Regular veterinary visits
A local veterinarian checks the herd on a fixed schedule for vaccination and general health.
Own fodder cultivation
We grow a share of our green fodder on farm land, so feed quality stays consistent through the year.
Records for every animal
Lineage, calving history and vaccination dates are kept for each cow we sell.

We're located at Nadupaiyur in Paiyur village, right on the NH 44 main road near Kaveripattinam — a short drive from Krishnagiri town and well connected to Hosur, Dharmapuri and Salem. Look for the farm just behind Surya Tiles. Buyers are welcome to walk through the shed, meet the herd, and take their time deciding.
